SAW 7 in 3D- Latest news

The film yet to come

Saw 3D, the seventh film in the bloody successful series, has seen its trailer debut at the Lionsgate booth at Comic-Con this week. The studio has also confirmed that this will indeed be the final chapter in the series.

"There's something miraculous about creating a final chapter to the Saw chronology that not only gives the core fans everything they want and deserve, but also serves as a perfect introduction to audiences who are new to the series," says director Kevin Greutert. "I'm proud to have been part of Jigsaw's world from start to finish."

The after-hours Comic-Con event for the film takes place on Friday evening (moderated by IGN's own Eric Moro), and during that event the franchise will be honored by Guinness World Records as the "Most Successful Horror Movie Series." Producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg will be on hand to accept the award from Guinness Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday, who will travel from Guinness World Record headquarters in London to present several awards at Comic-Con.

"We are thrilled that Saw has set a new Guinness World Record," say the producers. "It wouldn't be possible without our incredibly rabid and loyal fans and our great partners at Lionsgate."

Additionally, Saw 3D will return to the Halloween weekend release date that has treated the series so well in the past.

"It's been an amazing ride," add Koules and Burg. "As filmmakers it was important to us that Saw was one story in seven chapters rather than just a series of sequels."

Inception – Review

The Dream Is Real

The PR machine for Christopher Nolan’s “existential heist thriller” is well and truly in motion, people. Yesterday we had a great featurette to watch and today four posters have been put on the world-wide-web (via Collider) and they absolutely rock. Inception could be the brainiest, coolest and most visionary work of the entire year, never mind, summer.

With its international locales, visual richness, brilliant cast, sci-fi flourishes and mind-being plot: this is definitely a case of ‘great expectations’. God, I can’t wait to see this!

Synopsis:

Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible–inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. This summer, your mind is the scene of the crime.
